Haute Couture Paris FW 2016-17, Chanel
Heritage and experimentation. Karl Lagerfeld, in this fall/winter 2016-17 collection, avoids desecrating the fashion house's archive, respecting its classical stylistic canons, brightened with contrasting decorations of great elegance. Capo cult is the tweed suit with jackets over o touching lightly the hips, combined often with mini skirt or orange ballon skirt, very young and refined. Like an expert tightrope walker, the designer keeps in balance between his innate desire to experiment and the will to honor the stylistic tradition of Chanel with garments with variable lengths, always ladylike, Mini coats with short sleeves or three-quarter sleeves over another kind of sleeves, total black, tight like gloves. Suede cuissard and plumes, geometric embroideries and touch of glitter enhanced rigorous items.
Mood: homage to the high couture tradition
Lenght: everything, mini and over jackets, skirts and coats
Breadth: tight or ballon; lightly and ethereal for the evening
Colors: blue, black, grey, orange, pink, brown, pale blue, white, coral
